Met sis for Dim Sum lunch yesterday at Bosses. So we missed Caleb’s morning nap before we went out. Normally he does fine without some naps but not sure why he was so tired yesterday-probably due to the amount he ate… Xiu Mai, Paos… And he decided he needs to sleep with all the blood circulating in his tummy!

This is the second time he is nodding off while having a meal and I finally manage to catch it before he hits his head somewhere! Haha…

Ok you guys know that I just started my new “business/hobby” right. So sometimes in the afternoon Caleb will “accompany” his mummy while she cuts her fabrics and materials to prepare them for sewing later.

Anyway this boy we have here is what the hokkiens called “hands itchy”. He will dig through all my little sewing stuff, plays with the measuring tape, the chalk… And of course PINS! You think its so dangerous right?! Coz he is going to poke himself and I thought so too!!! So time and time again, I keep telling him NO NO NO… But this boy is just as stubborn as his daddy and me… He keeps trying his luck, so much so, one day I decided, “ok, you poke yourself and if it hurts don’t come crying to me!”

And he proves me wrong, he is super good with his pinch grip! So now he is an expert with using his index and thumb to pick up the pins. We try to learn the colors of the pins as well as count them… See we can learn even at work haha!

And just today… He decides that he’ll venture further with the pins… Sort of like flower arrangement… *faintz*

Ok as requested, here’s a video of Caleb self feeding at 19 months. I really can’t remember how he became good at feeding himself. He hates getting himself dirty so definitely no hands unless its fries and tibits.

I only remember that he hates being fed by us at a tender age of 14 or 15 months and will boycott food if we do it. And very quickly he master the art of self feeding both with the spoon and the fork. He has been hitting on the chopsticks for a while now-But hmm this one is going to take loads of motor skills to develop right?! Haha…

Well all I can say is just let the keep practicing eh! And be prepare for all the mess at first! Oh it really doesn’t help he totally HATES bibs so no bibs. Thankfully he is pretty good and doesn’t dirty himself well if he does, just change right! =)

It was Grandma Ang’s birthday this week and we have a pre early birthday celebration for her during our usual Sunday dinner last weekend! We got a very unique cake this year coz we were at Goodwood Park hotel for dinner.

Oh btw, Caleb finally blew out his first candle successfully! Haha… He blew it out the first time when I lit the candle before everyone sang the song and I had to lit it up again….

It’s their special $11, Longan Almond Jelly Snowskin Mooncake!!! Interesting right?! Their new product for this year! One huge palm sized one. I must say it tasted pretty good! We also bought their Durian snow skin mooncake to try which is ooh la la plus their Mango Pomelo snowskin mooncake, taste good too! I’m kinda liking all these different flavored snowskin mooncakes, taste like ice cream cakes and not as fattening as those traditional ones hyak hyak!

Taka fair, I am sure we will be there to check out all the mooncakes in Sept when we shop for our families!!! Can’t wait!

Wanted to get Caleb a pull along toy from “The Better Toy” store but the cute dino we wanted is out of stock.

So a few weeks ago… after using up my roll of wrapping paper. mummy decided that hmmm its time to use the paint again (we bought 3 big bottles the last time and we can’t seem to finish them, seriously I’m quite sick of the 3 colors and want some new ones!!!)

So we used what was left over from the roll of wrapping paper and paint for some artwork. All 3 of us daddy, mummy and little leb. And “creative mummy” suddenly thought of an idea (*please note once in a Blue Blue Blue moon I get creative, haha probably it was full moon that day!)I turned it into a funny looking caterpillar with ears for him to pull along at home!

Well it doesn’t seem like he needs a pull along toy anymore coz he has a home made one! Or maybe he does? Awww, that cute pull along toy from the store… tsk tsk mummy, control yourself please!

Ok so I thought my kid was kinda wierd… But no! Yesterday I was chatting with my gfs and they say all their kids behave this way. But boy, aren’t they all cute la.

They are obsessed with making sure that things are in the right place and look right. For Caleb, just the other day, he accidentally tripped over the floor mat, and so of course the floor mat shifted right?

I thought he’ll just leave it that way but man no! He actually wanted it back to its original position so he just keep shifting it to make sure it goes back to the correct position!

Quite funny la these babies!
